Adult Day Program
The Elderwise Adult Day Program is located at the Memory Hub!
It has been about a year since our day program returned to the full 4-hours. It was just recently announced by the University of Washington that masks will now be optional and we no longer need to keep extra distance within our program room for eating and activities.
There are now spots available for this unique program of community support and enrichment for those living with dementia so please contact Janet at janet@elderwise.org to schedule a visit.

Elderwise adult day social programs were designed using the Spirit-Centered Care® philosophy, which honors the wholeness of each person regardless of the physical or cognitive changes they experience. Elderwise programs do this by nurturing the body, mind, and spirit of each individual through:
Invigorating exercise specially designed to be within the capacity of participants
Stimulating conversation based on participant’s life experiences and life’s questions
Engaging art activities that stimulate creativity
“
When I began my journey as a caregiver to Mom, I saw only the loss and not the person, hearing only the confusion and not the thought, unable or unwilling to see and hear more.
And then Mom began to paint.
We enrolled her in an Elderwise® outreach painting class designed for those living with dementia. Her paintings were good, always interesting, and sometimes remarkable. Sharing joy at last, I opened my eyes and ears and mind to the simple truth that she was Still Here, living with creativity and joy.
Thank you Elderwise!
